How to Make Iced Mandarin Orange Tea

  1. Place two black tea bags (or 4 individual tea bags) in a stainless steel or ceramic heat-safe bowl.
  2. Pour 2 cups (473ml) of freshly boiled water over the tea bags.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons (25g) of granulated sugar (or to taste) and stir gently to dissolve. Steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool completely. You can speed this up by placing the bowl in an ice bath.
  5. Add ½ cup (118ml) of mandarin orange juice and 2 tablespoons (30ml) of mandarin orange liqueur (optional) and stir well to combine.
  6. Quarter-fill tall glasses with ice.
  7. Pour the cooled mandarin tea into the prepared glasses.
  8. (Optional) For an extra special touch, frost the glasses by placing them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before serving.
