How to Make Spiced Cranberry Cocktail Iced Tea

  1. In a large pot (at least 6 quarts), combine 8 cups of water and 2 cups of fresh cranberries.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until cranberries have burst and released their juices.
  3. Add 1 cup granulated sugar, ½ cup orange juice, ¼ cup lemon juice, 1 teaspoon whole cloves, 1 teaspoon allspice berries, and 2 cinnamon sticks to the pot.
  4. Cover and reduce heat to the lowest setting. Steep for 1 hour, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Carefully strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth-lined strainer into a large pitcher. Discard solids.
  6. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature on the counter. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to thoroughly chill.
