Comment préparer Coconut Ginger Flan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a blender, combine coconut milk, eggs, sugar, ginger, lime juice, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl to remove any lumps.
- Lightly grease a 9-inch flan dish or ramekins.
- Pour the flan mixture into the prepared dish(es).
- Place the flan dish in a larger baking pan. Carefully pour enough hot water into the larger pan to come halfway up the sides of the flan dish (bain-marie).
- Bake for 80 minutes, or until the flan is set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely in the water bath.
- Once cooled, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, carefully run a thin knife or spatula around the edge of the flan to loosen it from the dish.
- Invert onto a serving plate and garnish with toasted coconut flakes (optional).
