How to Make Absolute Best Cranberry Sauce

  1. Rinse 12 ounces (340g) of fresh cranberries and place them in a 2-quart saucepan. Add 1/2 cup (120ml) of water.
  2. Stir in 1/4 cup (50g) Splenda or equivalent granulated sugar substitute, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 packet (3 oz) raspberry flavored gelatin, and 1 packet (1 oz) unflavored gelatin (optional, for extra setting).
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, occasionally mashing some of the cranberries against the side of the pan with the back of a spoon to release their juices. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Pour into a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to set completely.
