- Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons gomashio seasoning OR 1 tablespoon Cajun spice
How to Make Baked Sesame Fries
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and peel 2 pounds of russet potatoes. Dice the potatoes into 1/2-inch thick fries.
- Place the diced potatoes in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let soak for 5 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain the potatoes thoroughly. In a large bowl, toss the fries with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of gomashio seasoning (or 1 tablespoon of Cajun spice).
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a large non-stick baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through (around 15 minutes), until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
