How to Make Cheerios Bars

  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine 1/2 cup (113g) of peanut butter and 1/2 cup (100g) of maple syrup.
  3. Stir constantly until the peanut butter and syrup are completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
  4. Add 3 cups (75g) of Cheerios cereal to the peanut butter mixture and stir gently until the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared 8x8 inch baking pan and press firmly and evenly into the pan using the back of a spoon or spatula.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the bars to set completely before cutting into squares.
  7. Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut into 16 squares.
