How to Make Cranberry And Orange Iced Tea

  1. Peel the rind from the orange using a vegetable peeler. Be sure to remove only the outermost layer.
  2. Carefully remove the white pith from the orange rind using a small sharp knife. This is important for a less bitter taste.
  3. Place the orange rind and tea bags in a large heatproof jug or pitcher.
  4. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the rind and tea bags.
  5. Let the mixture steep for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  6. Remove the tea bags and orange rind, discarding them.
  7. Add 1 cup of cranberry juice and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar (or to taste) to the jug. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  8. Cut half of the remaining orange flesh into small pieces. Divide these pieces evenly among 2 ice cube trays.
  9. Pour the tea mixture evenly among the ice cube trays containing the orange segments.
  10. Place the ice cube trays in the freezer overnight to allow the tea to freeze completely.
  11. Cover the remaining tea mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate to chill.
  12. Once frozen, remove the orange tea cubes from the trays and place them in a serving jug or pitcher.
  13. Pour the chilled tea mixture over the frozen cubes and serve immediately. Enjoy!
