How to Make Mojito

  1. Muddle 2-3 sprigs of fresh mint leaves with 2 tablespoons of white sugar in the bottom of a 16-ounce highball glass.
  2. Add 2 ounces of white rum to the glass.
  3. Cut a lime in half and juice it directly into the glass, straining out the seeds and pulp. (Alternatively, use 1.5 ounces of fresh lime juice).
  4. Fill the glass with ice.
  5. Top with 4-6 ounces of club soda and gently stir.
  6. (Optional) Add a couple of thin slices of spent lime zest to the glass for a beautiful visual effect.
  7. Garnish with a sugar cane stalk (or a sprig of mint) and serve immediately.
