  • Bulgur Wheat
  • Water
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • Dried Apricot
  • Raisins
  • Chicken Bouillon
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • Sage
  • 2 large egg whites

How to Make Wheat Stuffing

  1. In a large saucepan, bring 1 cup of chicken broth, 1/2 cup of vegetable broth, 1/2 cup chopped celery, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon dried sage, 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 3 cups of wheat bread cubes to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 45 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 large egg whites until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the wheat mixture.
  6. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
