  12. Remove the sauce from heat and set aside.
  13. Preheat grill to low heat (approximately 250°F).
  14. Grill the ribs for 40 minutes, turning frequently, until slightly tender.
  15. Baste ribs generously with the apple barbecue sauce.
  16. Continue grilling for another 20 minutes, basting frequently, until the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce is caramelized.
  17. Serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping.
