Como fazer One Cup Slice

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Line a 26cm x 16cm (10.2in x 6.3in) lamington pan with baking paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to help lift the slice out.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup desiccated coconut, 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or a mix), and 1/2 cup mixed dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, cherries – your choice!).
  4. Add 1/2 cup milk (any kind) and 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil, reduce the oven temperature to 160°C (320°F), and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the slice is firm and golden brown. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle 3/4 cup chocolate chips evenly over the hot slice.
  8. Let the chocolate melt completely. Use a flexible spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly across the surface.
  9. Allow the slice to cool completely in the pan before lifting it out using the baking paper overhang. Once completely cool, cut into squares and serve.
