Ingredients for Agua De Lima Lime Water

  • 4 cups (960ml) cold water
  • Lime Juice
  • Superfine Sugar
  • Ice

How to Make Agua De Lima Lime Water

  1. Wash and cut 10-12 limes in half.
  2. Juice the limes using a juicer or by hand. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any seeds or pulp.
  3. Measure 1 cup (240ml) of fresh lime juice.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice with 4 cups (960ml) of cold water.
  5. Add 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar (or to taste) and stir until fully dissolved.
  6. Peel and juice 1/2 medium cucumber (about 1/2 cup of juice). Add to the pitcher.
  7. Add more lime juice to taste.
  8. Fill the pitcher with ice. Stir well.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
