How to Make Another Holiday Spiced Tea

  1. In a large pot, bring 1/2 gallon (8 cups) of water to a boil.
  2. Add 6-8 tea bags (or 4 tablespoons loose leaf tea) to the boiling water. Steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea.
  3. In a separate saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 10 whole cloves. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is deeply amber-colored and strongly fragrant.
  4. Strain the clove-infused water through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the cloves.
  5. Add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the brewed tea and stir until completely dissolved.
  6. Stir in 1/2 cup fresh orange juice and 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice.
  7. Add the strained clove water to the tea mixture.
  8. Pour the tea into a gallon jug. Add enough additional water to fill the jug to the top. Stir gently to combine.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
