How to Make Apple Onion Pork Chops

  1. Season 4 pork chops (about 1 inch thick) with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon curry powder.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add pork chops and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until desired doneness is reached. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add 1 large onion, thinly sliced, to the skillet and cook over medium heat for 7-8 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
  7. Pour in 1/2 cup apple juice and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes more.
  8. Pour the apple onion sauce over the pork chops and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme (optional).
