  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

How to Make Baked Cranberry Sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and drain 12 ounces of fresh cranberries. Place them in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  4. Add the sugar and cinnamon mixture to the cranberries. Gently toss to coat.
  5. Spoon the cranberry mixture into a greased 9-inch square baking dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

  8. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The flavors will meld beautifully overnight!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
