- 1 cup coarse ground grits
- Water
- Salt
- Velveeta Cheese
- 1/2 cup oleo (or butter)

How to Make Baked Grits
- Bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil in a large saucepan. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of coarse ground grits. Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring frequently, for 20-25 minutes, or until the grits are thick and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of oleo (or butter) and 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs and 1/2 cup of milk.
- Gently fold the egg mixture into the grits mixture until just combined.
- Pour the grits mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
