Ingredients for Basic Popovers

  • Unsalted Butter
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Kosher Salt
  • Eggs
  • Whole Milk

How to Make Basic Popovers

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Grease a 6-cup popover pan generously with 1 teaspoon of melted butter.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and blend for 30 seconds until just combined. Do not overmix!
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared popover cups, filling each about 1/3 to 1/2 full.
  5. Bake on the middle rack of the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Do not open the oven door during baking!
  6. Carefully remove the popovers from the oven and immediately pierce each popover on top with a sharp knife to release steam.
  7. Serve the popovers warm and enjoy! They're best served immediately.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
