- 2 pounds russet potatoes

How to Make Bbq Potatoes
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your grill for indirect heat.
- Wash and peel 2 pounds of russet potatoes. Slice potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- Lightly spray two large sheets of aluminum foil with cooking spray.
- Place half of the sliced potatoes onto one sheet of foil.
- Top with 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced.
- Dot with 4 tablespoons of butter, and season generously with salt and pepper (about 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper).
- Place the remaining potato slices on top of the onion layer.
- Cover with the second sheet of aluminum foil, sealing the edges tightly to create a foil packet.
- For oven cooking: Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.
- For grill cooking: Place the foil packet on the grill over indirect heat. Cook for 45-55 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender, flipping halfway through.
- Carefully remove from oven or grill. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
