How to Make Bacon Wrapped Sausage Casserole With Apple Tomato Sauce
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Wrap each sausage with 1-2 slices of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- In a large skillet, sauté 1 medium diced onion and 1 medium diced apple in 1 tablespoon of olive oil until softened. Approximately 5 minutes.
- Transfer the apple and onion mixture to an oven-safe casserole dish.
- Arrange the bacon-wrapped sausages on top of the apple and onion mixture.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add 250g diced tomatoes, 1/2 green bell pepper (diced), and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour over the vegetables and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
