Ingredients for Beer Muffins

  • Self Rising Flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup beer (any kind, but a lighter beer works well)

How to Make Beer Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small saucepan, gently heat 1 cup of beer over medium-low heat until lukewarm. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup granulated sugar until completely dissolved.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the warm beer mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about halfway full.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the muffins are golden brown.
  8. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
