How to Make Mock Tea Sangria
- Combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries in a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
- Pour the raspberry puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher or container, pressing on the solids to extract as much puree as possible. Discard the seeds.
- Set the raspberry puree aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 3 cups of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Remove from heat and immediately add 4 black tea bags (or your preferred tea type).
- Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags using a slotted spoon, gently squeezing out any remaining liquid.
- Allow the tea mixture to cool completely.
- In the large pitcher, combine the cooled tea mixture, the raspberry puree, 2 cups of grape juice, 1/2 cup of lemon slices, and 1/4 cup of lime slices.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, gently stir in 1 (12-ounce) bottle of chilled orange soft drink.
- Serve immediately over ice. Garnish with fresh raspberries and citrus slices if desired.
