Ingredients for Naked Grilled Salmon
- Salmon Fillet
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Garlic Cloves
- Cracked Black Pepper
- Sea Salt
How to Make Naked Grilled Salmon
- Rinse the salmon fillet and gently pat it dry with paper towels.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. (For charcoal grills, you'll want a good bed of hot coals.)
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon fillet.
- If your salmon fillet has skin, rub the olive oil on both sides. Otherwise, focus on one side.
- Rub one side of the fillet with 1 clove of minced garlic. Sprinkle generously with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.
- Carefully place the salmon, garlic-side down, on the preheated grill grates.
- Grill for approximately 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillet. Flip once, and cook for another 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from grill and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
