How to Make Slow Cooker Cider

  1. Combine 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon ground cloves, and ¼ teaspoon ground allspice in a double thickness of cheesecloth.
  2. Bring up the corners of the cheesecloth and tie securely with kitchen twine to create a spice bag.
  3. Pour 2 quarts of apple cider into a 3-quart slow cooker.
  4. Add ¾ cup packed light brown sugar to the slow cooker.
  5. Stir the cider and brown sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  6. Add the spice bag to the slow cooker.
  7. Arrange 4-6 orange slices on top of the cider.
  8. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until heated through and flavors have melded. (Adjust cooking time based on your slow cooker).
  9. Remove the spice bag before serving.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
