Ingredients for 12 Minute Pasta
- Orecchiette
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
- 3 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Parmesan Cheese
- Flat Leaf Parsley
How to Make 12 Minute Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, prepare the other ingredients: thinly slice the prosciutto, grate the Parmesan cheese, and chop the parsley.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes until golden brown.
- Season breadcrumbs with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Drain the cooked pasta, reserving about 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the breadcrumbs.
- Add the prosciutto and Parmesan cheese; toss to combine. Add a tablespoon or two of the reserved pasta water if the mixture seems too dry.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the pasta is heated through and the cheese is melted and slightly creamy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
