How to Make All In One Breakfast

  1. Grease a 3-quart rectangular baking dish. Arrange 8 English muffin halves in the bottom, overlapping as needed to create a single layer.
  2. In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of sausage until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs.
  4. Add the cooked sausage, 1 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup chopped green chilies to the whisked eggs. Mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the English muffins in the baking dish. Gently press down to ensure the muffins are fully moistened.
  6. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours).
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes, or until the strata is set and the cheese is golden brown.
