- Fresh Ground Pepper
How to Make Angel Hair Pasta In Garlic Sauce
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces of angel hair pasta and cook according to package directions, until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and slightly softened. Do not brown the garlic.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it well, reserving about 1/4 cup of pasta water. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic and parsley.
- Toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately, seasoned with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
