- 1 tablespoon milk
How to Make Apricot Scones
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups Bisquick baking mix, 1 cup chopped dried apricots, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, and 1 large egg until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean work surface with Bisquick baking mix. Turn the dough out onto the surface and gently knead 10-12 times until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
- Pat or roll the dough into an 8-inch circle. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the top of the dough with 1 tablespoon of milk and sprinkle generously with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
- Cut the circle into 8 equal wedges using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Let the scones cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
