How to Make Asian Beef Chicken Lo Mein

  1. In a large nonstick skillet or wok, brown 1 lb ground beef (or 1 lb thinly sliced chicken breast) over medium-high heat until no longer pink. If using chicken, stir-fry until cooked through.
  2. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil if needed to prevent sticking.
  3. Remove the cooked meat from the skillet using a slotted spoon and set aside.
  4. Season the meat with the seasoning packet from your choice of lo mein noodles.
  5. In the same skillet, add 1 cup water, 1 (16 oz) package lo mein noodles, 1 cup mixed frozen vegetables (or 2 cups chopped fresh vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, and cabbage), 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger, and the remaining seasoning packet from the noodles.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low.

  9. Stir in 2 green onions, thinly sliced.
