- 2 (1-inch thick) boneless pork chops
- Black Pepper
- Cinnamon
- Dry Sherry
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
How to Make Asian Glazed Pork Chops
- Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add pork chops to the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Add 1/4 cup dry sherry (or chicken broth) to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom using a wooden spoon.
- Stir in 1/4 cup hoisin sauce.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Turn the chops halfway through.
- Remove pork chops from the skillet and place them on a serving plate.
- Pour the pan sauce over the pork chops. Garnish with 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions before serving immediately. Serve over rice and steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
