Ingredients for Asian Glazed Pork Chops

  • 2 (1-inch thick) boneless pork chops
  • Black Pepper
  • Cinnamon
  • Dry Sherry
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

How to Make Asian Glazed Pork Chops

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add pork chops to the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  4. Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. Add 1/4 cup dry sherry (or chicken broth) to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom using a wooden spoon.
  6. Stir in 1/4 cup hoisin sauce.
  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Turn the chops halfway through.
  8. Remove pork chops from the skillet and place them on a serving plate.
  9. Pour the pan sauce over the pork chops. Garnish with 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions before serving immediately. Serve over rice and steamed broccoli for a complete meal.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
