Ingredients for Bacon Broccoli Quiche
- Frozen Deep Dish Pie Shell
- 6 large eggs
- Frozen Chopped Broccoli
- Onion
- 1 cup milk (whole milk recommended)
- Bacon Bits
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Nutmeg
How to Make Bacon Broccoli Quiche
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly brush a 9-inch pie crust with 1 tablespoon of the beaten eggs. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork.
- Blind bake the crust for 12 minutes. (This prevents a soggy bottom!)
- While the crust bakes, prepare the filling: In a large bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Add 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon, and 2 cups chopped broccoli florets to the egg mixture. Gently stir to combine.
- Remove the pie crust from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the broccoli mixture into the prepared pie shell.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown in the center and the crust is cooked through. A knife inserted near the center should come out clean.
- Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
