  • Fresh Brussels Sprouts
  • 4 slices bacon
  • Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper

How to Make Bacon Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and trim Brussels sprouts; cut them in half lengthwise if large, or leave small ones whole.
  3. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  4. Cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from pan, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon grease. Crumble bacon.
  5. Add Brussels sprouts to a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.
  6. During the last 5 minutes of roasting, add the reserved bacon grease to the pan.
  7. Remove from oven and toss with crumbled bacon and 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
