  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • Aluminum Foil

How to Make Barbecue Salmon Fillet

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons dry vermouth, and 1 teaspoon liquid smoke.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning and stir to combine. Set aside.
  4. Preheat your barbecue or oven to 300°F (150°C).
  5. Create a foil packet with approximately 1/2-inch-high walls.
  6. Place a 1-pound salmon fillet in the center of the foil packet.
  7. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the salmon fillet.
  8. Carefully flip the salmon fillet to coat both sides with the sauce.
  9. Seal the foil packet tightly. Place the packet on the preheated barbecue or in the oven.
  10. Cook for 35-45 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
