How to Make Barbecued Baby Back Ribs

  1. Place ribs in a large pot and cover with enough water to completely submerge them.
  2. Bring the water to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the ribs are fork-tender.
  3. While the ribs are simmering, prepare the BBQ sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients (see below).
  4. Bring the sauce to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened to your desired consistency.
  5. Preheat your broiler.
  6. Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  7. Place the ribs, meat-side down, on the broiler pan rack. Brush generously with the BBQ sauce.
  8. Broil the ribs 4-5 inches from the heat source for 6-7 minutes.
  9. Flip the ribs, brush with the remaining sauce, and broil for another 6-7 minutes, or until the edges are slightly charred and the sauce is caramelized.
