How to Make Beef For Tacos

  1. Place 1.5 lbs of sliced beef strips (about 1/4 inch thick) in a medium saucepan.
  2. Cut 1 large onion and 4 cloves of garlic into quarters.
  3. Add the quartered onion and garlic to the beef in the saucepan.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 cup of water.
  5. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer gently for 1 - 1 1/2 hours, or until the beef is very tender. Stir occasionally.
