How to Make Beef Gravy

  2. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain.
  3. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture turns a light brown color.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of beef broth, stirring continuously to prevent clumping. It will bubble and spit, so be careful!
  6. Stir in 1 teaspoon of Kitchen Bouquet (optional) for deeper color and flavor.
  7. Increase heat to medium. Continue to stir until the gravy comes to a boil and thickens to your desired consistency (adding more broth if needed).
