How to Make Blueberry Lemon Iced Tea
- Combine 1 (12-ounce) package frozen blueberries and 1/2 cup lemon juice in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until blueberries have softened.
- Remove from heat. Pour the blueberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl, using the back of a spoon to press out as much juice as possible.
- Discard the solids.
- Wipe the saucepan clean.
- In the same saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add 3 family-size tea bags (or 6 regular tea bags). Steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove and discard the tea bags.
- Stir in 3/4 cup granulated sugar and the strained blueberry juice.
- Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour the tea into a pitcher.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices (optional).
