How to Make Christmas Slush

  1. Steep 4 black tea bags in 2 cups of boiling water for 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and set aside to cool.
  2. In a separate saucepan, combine 7 cups of water and 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool completely.
  3. Once both the tea and simple syrup have cooled to room temperature, combine them in a large pitcher.
  4. Add 2 cups of frozen lemonade concentrate, 1 cup of frozen orange juice concentrate, and ½ cup of brandy (optional). Stir well to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into a large freezer-safe container, ideally an ice cream pail or similar container.
  6. Freeze for at least 4 hours, stirring once halfway through to break up ice crystals.
  7. To serve, scoop the slush into glasses. Top with 7-Up or lemon-lime soda to fill.
