How to Make Doritos Taco Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown 1 lb ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off excess grease.
  3. Stir in 1 packet taco seasoning, 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, and 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Unroll 1 (8 ounce) can of refrigerated crescent roll dough and press out into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Gently roll the dough to form the crust.
  6. Spread the hamburger mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.
  7. Top with 1 cup sour cream and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Crush 3/4 of a bag (approximately 7 ounces) of Doritos and sprinkle evenly over the cheese.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
