How to Make Grilled Portabella Burger With Basil Mayonnaise

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Lightly brush both sides of 4 large portabella mushroom caps with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Grill mushrooms for 6-8 minutes per side, or until tender and slightly charred.
  7. While mushrooms grill, lightly toast 4 burger buns on the grill for 30 seconds per side.
