How to Make Roasted Pears
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and halve 4 ripe Bosc pears lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the core of each pear half to create a small cavity.
- Lightly coat a gratin dish with cooking spray. Arrange pear halves, cut-side up, in the prepared dish.
- In a small bowl, combine 4 ounces (113g) of softened cream cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon honey. Mix well.
- Fill each pear cavity with half of the cream cheese mixture.
- Top each pear half with one half of a walnut.
- Gently press the walnut into the cream cheese mixture.
- Drizzle the remaining 1 teaspoon of honey over the pear halves.
- Place the gratin dish in the center of the preheated oven. Roast for 50-70 minutes, or until the pears are tender and easily pierced with a toothpick. (Start checking at 45 minutes).
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
