- Slice the peaches and apricots and gently add them to the cooled syrup.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully remove the peel and pith from 1 orange, reserving any juice that runs out. Slice the orange and add both the slices and the reserved juice to the fruit salad.
- Slice 2 ripe bananas and add them to the bowl.
- Gently fold in 1 cup raspberries, 1 cup strawberries (hulled and halved), and 1/2 cup cherries (pitted and halved).
- Spoon some of the syrup over the fruit to coat. Cover and chill thoroughly in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
