- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
How to Make Andrew S Spicy Bbq Burgers
- In a large bowl, gently combine 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended), 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite!), 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or more, to taste!), 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Add 1/4 cup breadcrumbs if needed to bind the mixture.
- Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions. Gently form each portion into a 1/2-inch thick patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 450°F (232°C). Grill the burgers for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, until cooked through and slightly crispy.
- Serve your delicious Andrew's Spicy BBQ Burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings. We recommend lettuce, tomato, onion, and extra BBQ sauce!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
