How to Make Anne S Crock Pot Chicken

  1. Wash and pat dry 1 whole chicken (approx. 3-4 lbs).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and brush evenly over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper over the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken in your crock-pot.
  5. Sprinkle 1 packet (1 ounce) of dry ranch salad mix over the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. About 45 minutes before serving, combine 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, 4 ounces cream cheese (softened), 1/4 cup dry white wine, and 1/2 cup chopped onion in a small saucepan.
