Ingredients for Apple Brie Omelet
- Apple
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 large eggs
- Cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, pinch of black pepper
- Brie Cheese
How to Make Apple Brie Omelet
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
- Add 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced, to the pan. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, until softened and lightly caramelized.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of black pepper until light and frothy.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in an 8-inch nonstick omelet pan over medium-high heat. The pan is ready when the butter foams and just begins to brown.
- Pour the egg mixture into the hot pan. Let it cook undisturbed for about 30 seconds, until the edges begin to set.
- Gently push the cooked edges toward the center with a spatula, tilting the pan to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath. Repeat until most of the egg is set but the top is still slightly wet.
- Sprinkle 2 ounces of brie cheese and the sautéed apples evenly over one half of the omelet.
- Fold the omelet in half or roll it up tightly.
- Carefully slide the omelet onto a warmed plate.
- Serve immediately with a toasted English muffin and a spoonful of apple butter.
