Ingredients for Banana Bliss Balls Raw Food

  • Mixed Nuts
  • Unsweetened Coconut
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • Agave Syrup
  • Vanilla Bean
  • 1/4 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut, for rolling

How to Make Banana Bliss Balls Raw Food

  1. Add 1 cup of nuts (almonds, walnuts, or a mix) to a food processor and process until finely ground.
  2. Add 1 cup shredded coconut, 2 ripe bananas (mashed), 1/4 cup agave nectar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the food processor. Process until completely smooth and well combined.
  3. With the food processor running, slowly add 1/4 cup buckwheat flour through the feed tube until the mixture reaches a thick, dough-like consistency.
  4. Take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a small ball between your palms.
  5. Roll the ball in 1/2 cup desiccated coconut until fully coated. Repeat with the remaining mixture until you have approximately 16 bliss balls.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
