How to Make Banana Bliss Balls Raw Food
- Add 1 cup of nuts (almonds, walnuts, or a mix) to a food processor and process until finely ground.
- Add 1 cup shredded coconut, 2 ripe bananas (mashed), 1/4 cup agave nectar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the food processor. Process until completely smooth and well combined.
- With the food processor running, slowly add 1/4 cup buckwheat flour through the feed tube until the mixture reaches a thick, dough-like consistency.
- Take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a small ball between your palms.
- Roll the ball in 1/2 cup desiccated coconut until fully coated. Repeat with the remaining mixture until you have approximately 16 bliss balls.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
