- 50g unsalted butter

How to Make Banana Flapjacks
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F/Gas Mark 5).
- Line a 9-inch square baking tin with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt 50g butter, 75g light brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons honey, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Remove from heat and stir in 175g rolled oats, 1 medium mashed ripe banana (about 120g), 50g chopped walnuts (optional), 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the flapjacks cool completely in the tin before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
