How to Make Bbq Pulled Pork Sandwiches
- Place a 3-4 pound pork shoulder roast in your slow cooker.
- Add 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dried basil, and 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Remove any skin or bone from the pork.
- Using two forks, shred the pork into small pieces.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker.
- Add one 16-ounce bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce and 1/2 cup of water to the slow cooker.
- Stir to coat the pork evenly in the sauce.
- Cook on low for another 1-2 hours, or until heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns with coleslaw (recipe #100526).
