- Garlic Cloves
- Rump Steak

- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the beef in small batches, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes per batch until browned but not fully cooked. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan.
- Add the sliced bok choy and stir-fry for 30-60 seconds, until wilted but still crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan.
- Add the soy sauce and sherry.
- Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the fresh basil and sesame oil. Toss to combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with red pepper strips (optional).
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
