Ingredients for Bierock Casserole

  • Head Of Cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Cheese
  • Carrot
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt And Pepper

How to Make Bierock Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Pour the beef and cabbage mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Unroll the crescent rolls and place them over the top of the beef and cabbage mixture. You may need to slightly stretch or overlap them to cover the dish.
  7. If using, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the crescent rolls.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  9. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
