  2. In a small saucepan, bring 1/4 cup (60ml) of water to a boil over high heat.
  3. Add 1/4 cup (50g) of granulated sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. Allow the sugar syrup to cool completely.
  5. In a small shallow dish, combine 1 tablespoon (10g) of granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Mix well.
  6. Rub the rims of the chilled martini glasses with a lemon wedge.
  7. Dip the rims of the glasses into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating lightly.
  8. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  9. Add 2 ounces (60ml) of light rum, 1 ounce (30ml) of fresh lemon juice, 1 ounce (30ml) of orange curacao, and 2 tablespoons (30ml) of the cooled sugar syrup to the shaker.
  10. Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously until the shaker is frosty (about 15-20 seconds).
  11. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glasses.
  12. Garnish each cocktail with an orange peel twist and serve immediately.
